Hi, my name is CJ Kohner and I am a freshman at Rider University in Lawerenceville, New Jersey. I was a Business Management major but then switched to Communications. I was born in Bloomington, Minnesota and have lived there my whole life. The reason why I want to teach little kids swimming lessons again this summer is because I love working with little kids and I love swimming. I like teaching little kids on how to become better swimmers and get a good idea what the sport is like. The ages that I would usually prefer to teach are 6-12 year olds. I have worked with little kids for the past two summers in my head high school swimming coaches swim camp he had held for those past two years. I am also experienced when it comes to swimming. I have been swimming for 11 years now and have won numerous awards throughout my high school career. Whenever they do something wrong, I correct them and they try again to get it right. I am a very patient person and like to communicate and listen what the little kids have to say. It's a great way to develop a relationship with them.

One interesting aspect about C.J Kohner's speech was that his passion is about swimming. Most students in class don't put "swimming" one their top priority list, which was why his topic was noticable in a positive way. I liked his tone of voice. He seemed confident and realistic about getting the job to be a swimming coach in the summer. There are a couple of things C.J needs to work on. One, he was looking at his blog and resume most of the time. He should've practiced at remembering what was on his summary. Yes, its okay if he glanced at it once in a while, and then look at the students and speak. I'm not saying he shouldn't look at his info on the big screen at all, but since he did that throughout most of his speech, we couldn't see his positive facial expressions (which implies that he's passionate about swimming) as much as we would've liked. Two, he should work on eye contact. Although he rarely looked at the students, when he did, he looked mainly at Mrs. Carbonaro, and a few other students sitting near her. He should look around more at the other students, just so that we all can get equal attention from him. Other then those two things, he did a good job. His resume and blog were well written and appealing to the students. He spoke loud and clear and we all can hear him well. Overall, he had a decent presentation.
